Ma-2141 · Spain
Sa Calobra
A single winding road down the mountains of northern Mallorca to the cove of Sa Calobra, opened in 1933.
Counts are from Turini’s pace-note engine on this route. Heights come from terrain data and can differ from signposted figures by a few tens of metres.
Where is Sa Calobra?
Sa Calobra is in Spain, on the Ma-2141. Also known as Carretera de Sa Calobra. The route on this page: from the Ma-10 over the Coll dels Reis and down to the cove of Sa Calobra, 12.6 km.
Why Sa Calobra is famous
It was designed by the engineer Antonio Parietti and is known for its hairpins and a 270° loop where the road passes under itself, called the tie knot (Nus de sa Corbata). Cyclists know the climb back up as the Coll dels Reis.
Sa Calobra hairpins
Over 12.6 km Turini calls 24 hairpins and 90 corners graded 1 to 6. That is 118 calls in all, one every 107 metres on average. Grade 1 is the tightest, 6 is nearly straight (how to read pace notes).
Sa Calobra elevation profile
From 567 m at the start to 30 m at the finish, with a highest point of about 730 m. Red marks are the hairpins.

Before you drive Sa Calobra
Open all year.
Coaches use the road too and need both lanes on the tightest hairpins, so be ready to stop. It is a dead end: you come back up the same way.
How to drive Sa Calobra with Turini
Set the route before you leave and Turini saves its notes on the phone, so it works with the screen off and no signal. On the road it reads each call about 4.5 seconds before the corner, timed to your speed, and you never touch the phone. It also works through Android Auto. If pace notes are new to you, start in Simple mode (Easy, Medium, Hard) and switch to the 1–6 scale once it feels natural.
Always drive within the law, the conditions and what you can see. Turini tells you what the map says; the road is what counts.
