Privacy
Turini is an Android app, still in development, made by the Turini team. This page explains, in plain words, what data it touches.
No account
You don’t need an account to use Turini. We don’t ask for your name.
What stays on your phone
Your routes, drives, recordings and settings are stored on your phone. We don’t upload them.
What the app asks other services for
To build pace notes, Turini needs to know what the road looks like. It asks these services for data about the area you’re driving or planning. Each request includes map coordinates, so those services see the locations in it — the same as any map app.
- Maps and road data: OpenStreetMap data, through OpenFreeMap map tiles and the Overpass API. These requests may go through Turini’s own cache at api.turini.app.
- Elevation: AWS terrain tiles or Open-Meteo, used to find crests and dips.
- Routing: GraphHopper or OSRM, when you plan a route.
- Place search: Photon or Nominatim, when you search for a place.
- Weather: Open-Meteo.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
Crash reports and feedback
Crash reports and in-app feedback are only sent when you choose to send them. They may include details about your phone and the app version, and anything you write.
The early-access list
If you join the early-access list on this website, we store your email address — and your quiz answers, if you gave them — so we can tell you when Turini launches. We never sell it. Email hello@turini.app and we’ll delete it.
